Aleksei archer, the American fashion model as well as actress who was born in New York City is known for her dramatic appearances as well as her versatility. Guarnaschelli has been a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America in 2007. She faced Cat Cora at the Farmers Market Battle of 2007 and took the title. She has since appeared as a judge on the program and in 2011 competed in The Next Iron Chef season four. She was third runner-up. She was a contestant and won in an episode of the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast. In the fourth season she became Geoffrey Zakarian's sous-chef. In 2008 she became host of the Food Network's The Cooking Loft with Alex Guarnaschelli in which she instructs a small group of students in the art of teaching them to reinvent traditional dishes.
