Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne is a Hollywood actress, author and best-selling novelist. Her skills have earned her international recognition. Sagittarius born, Julianne Moore was born December 3, 1960 in North Carolina. She is one of the three children of Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a parachutist. The Moore family is English, Scottish and of mixed heritage. Her father was a professional who often moved her family. She had a difficult time making or keeping her friends. Moore's family relocated from the United States to Germany and she was a student at Frankfurt American High School, in which her first roles were in plays. The school she attended was Boston University where she graduated in 1983 with a B.F.A. When she graduated, Moore moved to New York where she started her career in off-Broadway theater. Moore relocated into New York after graduating and started her professional career in off-broadway stage. In 1985 Moore made her screen debut in an episode of The Edge of Night. She performed the double role as Sabrina Hughes and Frannie Hughes in As the World Turns that was her first major role. She was on As the World Turns until 1988. In recognition of her performance she won an Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she debuted in cinema with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), each Robert Altman productions, were her first films. She received several nominations and received praise for her debut film. Moore played her first main part in Safe(1995). The actress' career reached a turning point as Steven Spielberg cast her to star in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which became one of the top-grossing films in 1997. The film she starred in was Magnolia (1999), which was praised by critics and was awarded an SAG nod for her role. The Hours, a 2002 film she costarred in with Nicole Kidman and Meryl Strreep was nominated for 9 Academy Awards. Moore has also starred in The Forgotten (2004), Freedomland 2006, Shelter 2010, etc. Non-Stop the film in which she appeared in 2014 was released. Moore has appeared in numerous films and shows. She's appeared in several movies and TV series. Her latest role was When You Finish Save the World 2022. Her acting career in Hollywood has established itself, and she's also an author of children's novels. She published her first book Freckleface Strawberry in 2007 and was a N.Y.T. best-seller, leading to it being made to a series as well as a musical. Moore also published My Mom is Foreigner, an autobiography in 2013. Moore being a accomplished author and actor, has made her personal life known to the world. In 1984 she married John Robin and in 1995 they divorced. They have two children together along with Bart Freundlich whom she later was married to in 2003. Moore is someone who takes pride in her career and family.
